Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust oscillating frequency finely and continuously by adding a variable capacity diode to the reference signal oscillating circuit with a divider circuit which can be programmed.
CONSTITUTION: The variable capacity diode 103 is provided to the reference signal oscillating circuit of the crystal oscillator 102 with the divider circuit 106 which can be controlled digitally from the outside and can be programmed. Oscillating frequency is finely adjusted by changing a bias voltage of the diode 103 by means of applying voltage at the external terminal 108. Also the divider circuit 106 can be controlled to set an output frequency of certain stage. A gap between the stages can be covered by the fine adjustment frequency by the diode to obtain approximately continuos frequency with high precision.
