Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a compensation operable of a defective lighting as a discharge lamp, by arranging an auxiliary light source filament in the outer tube to make its connection in parallel to the series circuit of luminous tube and stabilizer filament.
CONSTITUTION: Across power source terminals a, b, are connected in series a stabilizer filament 7, an exicitation coil 9 and main electrodes 3, 4 of a luminous tube 2, and also connected a series circuit of a relay switch 8 and auxiliary light source filament 10. That is, the series circuit of the auxiliary filament 10 and the relay switch 8 is connected in parallel to a series circuit of the luminous tube 2 and the stablizer filament 7. In this way, simultaneously with the luminous tube putting out the light, the switch is closed to construct a closed circuit of the auxiliary filament and the switch for the power source, lighting the auxiliary filament, thus a defective llghting can be compensated till a time with the luminous tube becoming restartable.
