Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically apply the viscoelastic resin and to surely prevent the protrusion of the resin from the tip face of metal plate even in case of using out plate as the metal plate, by detecting both tip and rear end parts of the metal plate by detecting device and controlling rise and fall of application roll based on each detecting signal.

CONSTITUTION: The application roll 13 is maintained at rising position and actuation signal is sent to the first timer 30 by detecting the tip end of the metal plate 12 by the detecting device 27 in exciting state of the electromagnetic solenoid 24 and then, the timer 30 is actuated. And, the solenoid 24 is demagnetized in a moment after elapse of the set-up time of the timer 30 and at the same time, the rocking arm 17 is rocked in the direction (b) by actuating the brake motor 20 and then, the roll 13 is lowered. Next, the tip end of the plate 12 is inserted between the roll 13 and the back roll 19 in this state and upper face of the plate 12 elastically pressure contacted through the spring 23 by the signal of the third timer 32. Thus, the roll 13 is lowered by detecting the tip end of the plate 12 and sticking of the viscoelastic resin 16 drawn out by the roll 13 protruding from the tip face of the plate 12, can be prevented.
