Abstract

PURPOSE: Burners are provided to the bottom of the furnace so that they can be inclined in various direction permitting flame to be spirally rotated in the furnace for good mixing with air, thereby providing rapid combustion.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel 5 is mixed in the wind box 4 with air appropriately distributed. Fired flame 7 spirally turns inside the furnace 2 giving heat to the surrounding water-cooled wall, furnace material 3, or heat exchangers located at upper side or downstream. The burners 1 can be made to change their directions so as to be inclined in various directions permitting flame to be spirally turned in the furnace and to provide a required quantity of heat to the water-cooled wall 3 or heat exchanger downstream. Further, the arrangement provides good air mixing to furnish accelerated burning.
