Abstract

PURPOSE: To preferably control a vacuum detector by providing space for preventing carbon from adhering onto the vacuum introducing side at a vacuum detecting hole to thereby reduce the carbon to adhere onto the detecting hole.
CONSTITUTION: In a vacuum detector having a vacuum detecting holes 2 and 3 at the upper and lower positions for detecting vacuum to control the lead angle mechanism of an EGR valve and a distributor in the vicinity of a throttle valve 1, a vaccum detecting passage 4 and a control screw 5, the lower hole 3 is provided in the passage 4 with space 6 provided at the lower hole 3 at the vacuum introducing side thereof to prevent the carbon contained in blow-bye gas from adhering onto the hole 3. Thus, it can reduce the carbon to adhere onto the hole 3 so that the vacuum for the EGR and the distributor do not almost alter even for long running distance to thereby preferably control the vacuum detector.
