Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure densified magnetic recording and make ''after recording operation'' possible by increasing the angle for winding a magnetic tape around a rotary head cylinder more than that required in case of recording and reproducing normal television signals. CONSTITUTION:In the device which records television signals on its magnetic tape as a sequential uncontinuous recording locus by means of plural rotary magnetic heads, magnetic tape 1 is wound around rotary magnetic head cylinder 2 so tht the angle for winding the magnetic tape around the rotary magnetic head cylinder is increased by angle theta more than that required in case of recording and reproducing normal television signals. On the magnetic tape corresponding to the portion where magnetic type 1 was wound extensively, the voice signal time-compressed by the heads, at least one head, in the plural rotary magnetic head is further compressed and recorded on upper end 6. In case of reproduction, the reproduced voice signal is time-expanded by the same rotary head, so that the continuous reproduced voice signal can be obtained.
