Abstract
PURPOSE: To culture cells of yeast producing adenosine triphosphate are placed in an aqueous medium incorporated with adenosine or 5'-adenylic acid, phosphoric acid as well as uracil, uridine, cytosine, etc., to produce in high yield adenosine triphosphate used for remedy of cerebral vessel disorder and muscular atrophy.
CONSTITUTION: A yeast capable of producing adenosine triphosphate from adenosine or 5'-adenylic acid and phosphoric acid, such as Candida parapsilosis AJ 4578 (FERM-P 408) is cultured in an enriched medium and the culture or the cells collected are aerobically placed in an aqueous medium containing adenosine, or 5'- adenylic acid and phosphoric acid as well as over 10 g/ml of uracil, uridine, 5'- uridilic acid, cytosine, cytidine or 5'-cytidilic acid at 20W50°C for several hours and the adenosine triphosphate accumulated is separated.
