Abstract

PURPOSE: To highly maintain extracting and separating efficiency, by washing organic solvent containing extraction impeding substance by higher concentration mineral acid than the acid using for reverse extraction process, on occasion of extracting solvent at refining time of Ni.Co etc.
CONSTITUTION: Impurities, such as Zn.Fe etc., in the solution are removed after exuding Ni.Co in the raw ore in the water solution by oxidation exuding treatment. Next, the water solution containing Ni.Co, is contacted with organic solvent and Co is extracted selectively and then, Ni is maintained in water phase. Then, Co in the organic solvent is moved to the water phase by reverse extracting treatment contacting with mineral acid (pH 3W 1.5N), such as sufuric acid etc., in order to use for circulating the avove organic solvent. After that, 10% volume of the total organic solvent is drawn out in batch wise and extraction impeding substance is removed by filtration etc. after contacting with higher concentration mineral acid (for example, 3N sulfuric acid) than that of the reverse extraction treating time stirring more than one minute, preferably 3W10 minutes.
