Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a simply-constituted circuit with additional rectifier diodes and resistance only to control the temperature of either one of a resistance load and induction load.
CONSTITUTION: In the temperature controller, rectifier diodes 21 and 22 are resistance 23 are added. With heat sensitive SCR16 ON, auxiliary SCR11 is OFF, but in the positive half cycle of a power voltage, dide 21 cuts off a charge current to capacitor C10. However, only inserting diode 21 may charge C10 with the opposite polarity to that in the figure at the end of the negative cycle of power supply 1 and also turns ON SCR11 by C17, resistance 18, resistance 12,etc., right before the positive cycle to trigger TRIAC3 in succession, so that reverse-charge current to C10 will be made to by-pass via diode 22 and resistance 23. When SCR16 turns ON, charge of C10 completely disappears, malfunction is eliminated and normal temperature control becomes possible.
