Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the destruction of thyristor element in overcurrent and overload by combining a time the thyristor is turned off with a time of the rise and fall of current by means of a current transformer provided to the output side of the inverter.
CONSTITUTION: When the load varies, AC wave form detected by the current transformer 23 is made greater, the rise and fall time of current become long, and the pulse widths of output signals of the differential rectifier circuits 411 to 413 in the detecting circuit 24 are made greater. As a result, output signals of the one shot pulse converters 421 to 426 by a single pulse, which contains both a turn-off time of the thyristor used in the inverter and a delay time, are compared with signals of the NAND circuits 431 to 436, overlapped pulses are delivered from the OR circuit 44 to the switching circuit 45. When an output signal P of the circuit 45 is given to the logic circuit, pulses applied to the power rectifier and inverter are locked to prevent the destruction of thyristor.
