Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a human body from being damaged by the fall of a thunder- bolt, if any, by forming an electrically large gap in the course of transmitting the signals of a sensor so that a bath may be electrically isolated while optically transmitting and receiving the signals.
CONSTITUTION: A sensor 2 in a bath 1 is electrically connected through a coupling box 3 with a bath warning panel 4. If the water level and temperature of the bath exceed preset values, a contact 5 is closed to light an LED 6. Upon reception of this light, a phototransistor 8 becomes conductive to connect the relay circuit of the warning panel 4, i.e., a relay 9, a bridge rectifier 14, the phototransistor 8 and the relay circuit 9 so that this relay 9 is operated. In response to the operation of this relay 9, a contact 10 is closed to operate a warning lamp 12 and a buzzer 13. In case a thunderbolt falls at the service wire of a transformer 11 when a man takes bath with the sensor 2 being dipped in the bath, his body can be prevented from any damage because there is a sufficient cap formed between the transistor 8 and the LED 6.
