Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to replace a battery for a long time by charging and discharging a solid electrolyte battery with a voltage range from the maximum to the minimum by the power supply from generating means. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte battery 1 is discharged by a load such as a watch circuit 7 and is charged to an extent to compensate the discharge from a solar cell 2 so that the terminal voltage VC is within the maximum VG and the minimum VS. Under the watch condition of a charge current a discharge current, however, the terminal voltage VX may become smaller the detected level VB of a voltage detecting circuit 5. At this time, the existence of the charge of the battery 1 is informed to the user by a display device 8. Since the terminal voltage VX of the battery 1 is within the muximum VG and the minimum VS, the voltage to be fed to the watch circuit 7 is regulated at all times at a preset voltage by a voltage regulator 6 so that the watch circuit 7 can stably operate.
