Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce multiple kinds of watch cases of circular shape from the same thin plate shell by loading a blank material of low melting point in the case thin plate shell and subjecting the same to heat melting or hot hobbing.
CONSTITUTION: A blank material 2 composed of Zn-Al alloy or other of low melting point is loaded in a thin plate shell 1 made in a case outside shape by pressing SUS material or other. This is passed in a continous non-oxidation furnace which has been heated above the melting point of the low melting point metal, whereby the watch case of the specified case inside shape is obtained. This method simplifies the operation processes and achieves the saving of material cost because the blank material can be lower priced material.
