Abstract
PURPOSE: To extrusion mold alloys with small extruding power by compression molding powder or machining debris of iron alloys, copper alloys, etc. then heating the same to a solid-liquid co-existence state and extruding the same.
CONSTITUTION: After machining debris 1 is packed into a container 3 by a hopper 2, it is compression molded by a plunger 4. Next, a compression molding bottom plate 5 is removed, and the molding is moved by the plunger 4 to the central part of a heating furnace 6, where it is heated to the temperature between the melt starting temperature and melt end temperature of the machining debris. Next, upon completion of the heating, the molding is extruded from a die 7 by the plunger 4, whereby the extrudate is obtained. If desired, a die 8 for extrusion molding is installed in the rear of the die 7 and the extrudate is packed in the die 8, whereby the molding is obtained.
