Abstract

PURPOSE: To appropriately limit the opening motion of an opened/closed member and surely hold the member in its fully opened position.
CONSTITUTION: An opened/closed board 2 for switches 3 is attached to the instrument panel 1 of a vehicle or the like. The opened/closed board 2 is supported by hinges 4 on the frame 1a of the panel 1. L-shaped arms 6 are provided on both the sides of the board 2 so that the tips of the arms project inside from the hinges 4. Dashpots 8 are attached to the frame 1a to appropriately limit the opening motion of the opened/closed board 2. Guide grooves 10 for guiding the arms 6 are provided on cases 9 wherein the dashpots 8 are housed. An attractive holding mechanism 12 consisting of magnets 13a attached to the tips of the arms 6 and other magnets 13b attached to the frame 1a through stays 14 is provided to surely hold the opened/ closed board 2 in its fully opened position.
