Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a runner in high reliable welding structure in such a way that a runner vane, a runner crown and a runner band are made respectively separately, blade thickness reducing parts are provided respectively at the runner crown side edge and the runner band side edge of the runner vane.
CONSTITUTION: A runner vane 1, a runner crown 2, a runner band 3 are respectively made of cast steel or steel plate. Non-destructive test for casting defect is done on the blade thickness reducing parts 4, 5 of the runner vane 1, according to the result from this test, the runner vane 1 and the runner crown 2 are assembled at a settled interval to each other, water cooling copper patch plates 6 are patched on both sides of the blade thickness reducing part 4 of the runner vane 1, welding is done by inserting an electrode wire into the gap between the runner vane 1 and the runner crown 2. And in the same way, the runner vane 1 and the runner band 3 are welded. Then, the water cooling copper patch plate 6 is removed, non-destructive test is done on the welding parts 7, 8, further welding padding is done so that the blade thickness reducing parts 4, 5 of the runner vane 1 can be the face to continue to the blade part of the runner vane 1 before grinding.
