Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the video signal compounding circuit by forming the horizontal and vertical synchronous signals plus the picture element frequency signal from the same reference frequency signal, and at the same time realizing setting of the video signal effective period formed by the optional picture element frequency.
CONSTITUTION: Reference frequency signal fC oscillated from oscillator 10 is divided through divider 11 to deliver horizontal synchronous signal fH. Signal fH is applied to control signal generation circuit 16 comprising FF as well as to video signal compounding circuit 19. Furthermore, signal fH is divided through divider 12 to deliver vertical synchronous signal fV to the output, and signal fV is then supplied to circuit 19. At the same time, switch circuit 15 is controlled by the output signal which is triggered by the output of circuit 16, and phase-inverted signal fC and fC' are selected and delivered with every horizontal period from circuit 15. The output of circuit 15 is divided through divider 17 to be applied to circuit 19 in the form of the fixed picture element signal. Thus the compounding circuit can be simplified, and at the same time the selection is possible for the video signals formed with the optional picture element frequency.
