Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the corrosion resistance of a heat exchanger and to facilitate the inspection and the replacement of heat pipes by arranging removable heat pipes transversely through a conduit conducting a high-temperature gas and through a heated fluid container adjacent to the conduit.
CONSTITUTION: By spouting high-temperature high-pressure steam from small holes in steam pipe 10 above heat pipes 6 to heat the surfaces of the heat pipes 6 in advance, the condensation of SOx on the surfaces of the heat pipes 6 is prevented in the biginning stage where the exhaust gas temperature is low. In steady state, the heating medium in the wick layers inside the heat pipes 6 gets the latent heat for evaporation from the interior of an exhaust gas duct 4 to evaporate, and then release the latent heat of condensation inside a feed water unit 5. The released heat heats water efficiently through a thermal compound 9 and fitting pipes 8. For inspection and replacement of the heat pipes 6, fitting members 7 are removed from an outside wall 41.
