Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a dot printer capable of printing a same arrangement in case a rotating direction of a printing drum is reversed by arranging dots, to be printed in both rows at both sides of at least one border line parallel to a rotating axis, so as to be symmetry against the border line. CONSTITUTION:When a printing drum 3 is rotated by an angle theta, a next dot 18b appears at a position shifted by a distance a in an axial direction, however, a carrier 3 is also moved by the distance a in the same axial direction as the dot 18b is shifted, therefore, a printing hammer 19 always prints at a center position thereof. The dots 18b on each rows 18a are arranged so as to be symmetry against a border line L dividing each rows 18a, accordingly, if the printing drum 3 was rotated to any direction, the relative position between the printing hammer 19 and the printing dot 18b may be kept in constant.
