Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the abnormal operation of a control device by providing a hole perforated at the plunger of a solenoid valve to communicate with the atmosphere and stopping the communication of a control pressure chamber with a drive vacuum chamber to thereby discharge only the atmospheric pressure when the solenoid valve malfunctions.
CONSTITUTION: Atmosphere is introduced through the small hole 42 of a plunger 29 into a control pressure chamber 40. Vacuum is introduced from a vacuum chamber 19 into the control pressure chamber to thus allow predetermined vacuum thus controlled to be introduced through a passage 10 into a control device. When a solenoid valve is stopped, the plunger 29 is not intaken into the upper portion but moved down by a spring 41 to thereby allow a valve 31 at the outer bottom of the plunger 29 to seat at the orifice 15 to thereby stop the communication of the control pressure chamber 40 with the vacuum chamber 19. Thus, only the atmosphere is introduced through the small hole 42 into the control pressure chamber 40 to thereby drive a control device so as to eliminate the abnormal operation of the control device.
