Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce absorptivity of processing solutions, and to raise adhesion between a paper base and a water resistant film, such as polyolefin in coating this, by using a specified succinic acid or a salt of it as an internal size for the base. CONSTITUTION:A succinic acid or a salt of this having 4-8, preferably, 8-4, especially 10C alkenyl or alkyl is added as an internal size to pulp, preferably in an amount of 0.75-2.0 %, especially fixed with aluminum sulfate accompanied with carboxy-modified polyacrylamide, and then, the pulp undergoes paper machine treatment. This internal size requires no operation of dissolution and heat insulation in use and exserts no ill effect, such as fog, on photographic characteristics.
