Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the use of a common driving power source, simplify a selective driver and reduce the space factor of printing facilities, by concentrically aligning an obverse and a reverse printing drums with each other, driving the obverse printing drum at its central part and driving the reverse printing drum at its peripheral part.

CONSTITUTION: When the printing facilities are started by an operator, a selective driving shaft 15 and the obverse printing drum 10 integrated with therewith are rotated and a printing plate belonging to those provided on the drum 10 and corresponding to a money amount column is selected and positioned to face a printing hammer 12. The reverse printing drum 11 is rotated to the same angle but in the opposite direction as to the obverse printing drum 10 by the rotation of the driving shaft 15 and positioned to face another printing hammer 13. An identical variable item is printed on the obverse and reverse sides of ticket paper 2 by the hammering action of a cam and that of the printing hammer 13 based on the swing of a lever 23 caused by the energization of a solenoid 22. The ticket paper 2 is then cut off by a knife so that a printed ticket is discharged out of the printing facilities.
