Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus capable of feeding plate materials separately one by one, which comprises suction pads for attracting an outermost or uppermost plate and carrying the same in the direction of the stack of plates, and an air ejecting pipe for ejecting air into the gap between the uppermost plate and the lower plate.
CONSTITUTION: Suction unit 5 of the vacuum-attraction transporting apparatus shown in the drawing is associated with air blowing tube 8, outlet port 9 of which is located in the vicinity of one suction pad 6a of two suction pads 6. The pad 6a is asociated with a lift cylinder 10, so that pad 6a can be moved upward and downward independently of the other 6. In operation of the apparatus, suction unit 5 is at first lowered onto plaster board 7 for attracting the uppermost board 7 by means of pads 6, 6a. Then, through the operation of lift cylinder 10, a portion of the uppermost board 7 is lifted upward by means of pad 6a, and at the same time, air is ejected from outlet port 9 of air blowing tube 8 to the lower portion of board 7, whereby only the uppermost plaster board can be lifted upward from the stack.
