Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable treatment for rustproof of iron steel material without requiring COD removing process of waste liquid by employing a solution added to alkaline or neutral polymerized phosphate solution with phosphoric acid and adjusted at its pH. CONSTITUTION:Phosphoric acid is added tp aqueous solution containing 0.05- 0.3% of polymerized phosphate to control its pH to 2.5 to 6.5. Iron steel material is treated in rustproof at 30-80 deg.C. Using this solution. The polymerized phosphate is selected from the group consisting of sodium pyrophosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate, tetrapolyphosphate and hexamethaphosphate. The temperature for treating the rustproof is preferably at 30-40 deg.C in the vicinity of 2.5 pH and at 60- 80 deg.C in the vicinity of 6.5. This is particularly preferable for a temporary rustproof process after acid cleaning a boiler, heat exchanger or the like in a thermoelectric power plant, a chemical plant or the like.
