Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation and checking an automatic printer, by connecting a microcomputer to a setting section for stopping the operation of the printer after a set amount of money is reached and by permitting the printing only when an amount less than the balance of the set amount is set.
CONSTITUTION: The set amount on a card 1 inserted into the setting section C is memorized. A signal is supplied to start the printer. When a starting key 40 is pressed, a selected amount is compared with the balance of the set amount on the card 1. If the selected amount is less than the balance, a signal indicating the selected amount is applied to an amount selection transmission unit D. The selected amount is indicated on an amount drum 24. A printing section E is rotated to print the amount. If the selected amount is more than the balance, a display signal is applied to a display section B and prescribed items are printed on the card 1. In that case, a resetting signal is supplied after the card is set out through an outlet port 12.
