Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure, administer and control the humidity highly reliably for a long time by using a ferroelectric substance such as a crystal of LiNbO3.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 2 and 3 such as gold evaporated films are formed at an electrode spacing on the C surface of a single crystal 1 of a ferroelectric substance such as LiNbO3. The humidity measuring element thus constructed is inserted into a portion to be measured so that the relative humidity is determined by measuring the electric resistance from the electrodes 2 and 3.
