Abstract

PURPOSE: The title preparation having improved absorbability after oral administration, comprising Nifedipine having a coronary vasodilator action and specific two types of compounds.
CONSTITUTION: One part by wt. of Nifedipine useful as a drug for angina pectoris, having a coronary vasodilator action is incorporated with 5W60 parts by wt. of polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 200W6,000 and 1/1000W1/10 part by wt. of a polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate to give a readily absorbable Nifedipine preparation. Drugs must be administered and absorbed readily in the case of angina pectoris fits. The product can increase the level in the serum after administration 15W25 times that in the case of simple Nifedipine alone. The time required for reaching the maximum level in the blood can be shortened to 1hr.
