Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a sense of raggedness or a three dimensionl feeling by minimizing internal cohesive force of a printing layer in a thermal transfer sheet that is made by laying the printing layer, a peeling-off layer, and a thermal sealing layer in sequence on a base sheet, and then removing the base sheet as well as a giving internal destruction of the printing layer.
CONSTITUTION: A printing layer 2, peeling-of layer 3, and a thermal sealing layer 4 are formed on a base sheet 1 to obtain a thermal transfer sheet. When transfering by means of heat, an internal cohesive force of the printing layer 2 is set to be less than each of adhesion force between the base sheet 1 and the printing layer 2, adhesion force between the printing layer 2 and the peeling-off layer 3, and an internal cohesive force of the peeling-off layer. When the thermal transfer sheet is heated and forced to seal on a plastic product or a body to which whatever is transfered, and the base sheet is peeled off, then the printing layer 2 softens and melts. As a result, the printing layer 2 is given the internal destruction because its internal cohesive force is less then any of the internal cohesive force and the adhesion force of each layer. Thus some of the layer 2 remains on the sheet and the rest is transfered to the body 6. Therefore, the surface of the transfered printing layer 2 becomes ragged.
