Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize NH3 decomposed gas without a loss by feeding NH3 decomposed purified gas from an adsorption tower during adsorption into an adsorption tower to be regenerated out of a plurality of adsorption towers in which adsorption and regeneration are repeated alternately and by returning regeneration exhaust gas from the tower regenerated to the inlet of a decomposition unit.
CONSTITUTION: NH3 gas fed from feed hole 1 through piping 4 is decomposed in decomposition unit 2, and the NH3 decomposed gas enters adsorption tower 8 through change-over device 7 to adsorption-remove undecomposed NH3 gas and moisture. The purified decomposed gas is then fed to the next stage through change- over device 14 and sending-out hole 15. On the other hand, regeneration of adsorption tower 9 contg. undecomposed NH3 gas and moisture adsorbed is carried out parallelly as follows: an adsorbent intower 9 is heated, and part 17 of the purified gas from tower 8 is simultaneously fed into tower 9 through device 7. Regeneration exhaust gas is supplied into unit 2 from inlet 3 through device 14, return piping 18 and ejector 19.
