Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent knocking, breathing or engine stop due to the over-thinness of mixture in case of sudden acceleration, by sufficiently making valve closing torque at a full admission location small to valve closing torque at a totally-enclosed location of this auxiliary valve.
CONSTITUTION: An intake drum 2 of a carbureter in common use and an intake drum 3 of a carbureter for high output are mounted to a carbureter body 1, and throttle valves 4, 5 are mechanically interlocked by means of a link mechanism. An auxiliary valve 7 installed to the intake drum 3 is provided with valve closing torque FH by means of a spring 9 through a lever 8. The auxiliary valve 7 is slowly opened because the valve closing torque FH becomes smaller the larger the opening θ of the auxiliary valve 7 is. Thus, the decrease of sucked resistance is ensured when the auxiliary valve 7 is totally opened, and the flow rate of a Venturi portion is kept sufficiently high and the atomization of fuel is promoted when the valve is opened in low and intermediate opening.
