Abstract
PURPOSE: To make accurate periodical water measurement possible by measuring the volume of water by crushing grains between electrodes with the on-off valve of an opening part under a shunting cylinder closed and then by measuring it agains after washing off crushed grains sticking to electrode surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: Inside of the humidity regulation tank 1, vertical shunting cylinder 4 of a small diameter is fitted. Once motor 10 rotates periodically, slider 7 advances and back edge part 13 also advances at the same time to close on-off valve 15 by elasticity of spring 16 and grains flowing down through the cylinder are made to stay and also pushed against fixed electrode 9 by moving electrode 8 to crush grains, thereby measuring the volume of water. Next, when motor 10 reverses to move moving electrode 8 backward, back edge part 13 of slider 7 moves backward to release on-off valve 15 and grains sticking to the surfaces of electrodes 8 and 9 are washed off by dropping grains, so that the next measurement will be possible. To obtain grains of the desired percentage of water, the unit can automatically be stopped by knowing the point in time.
