Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the safety of an electronic range even if a user closes its door unconsciously and simplify the operation thereof by so constructing as to close a switch upon depression of a cook starting push-button as operating means after the door is closed.
CONSTITUTION: Since no force to press a switch 5 is applied to a rockable lever 15 in cooking in an electronic range even if a push-button is depressed until an openable door 4 is closed, the switch 5 cannot be closed. When the door 4 is then closed, rotating force is applied to the lever 15 at the end of a locking rod 16 to thereby energize to close the switch 5. However, the lever 15 makes contact with the large-diameter portion 20 of the push-button 19 to prohibit the actuator 13 to be further depressed. When the user then depresses the push-button 19, the lever 15 is moved to a small-diameter portion 21 to thereby close the switch 5. Thus, a magnetron is operated to start cooking in the range.
