Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of coldness and heat accumulation run, by providing a timer for setting a time and by utilizing the switch-off of a thermostat to perform the coldness and heat accumulation run when a room is cooled and heated alternately.
CONSTITUTION: In a coldness accumulation run, coolant gas compressed to high temperature and pressure by a compressor 1 is cooled and liquefied by a condenser 2 and passed through a pressure reducer 3 which reduces the temperature and pressure of the coolant. The coolant is then conducted from a stop valve 5 to a heat exchanger in a coldness accumulation vessel to cool or heat a coldness accumulation material 9. The coolant is then vaporized and returned to the compressor 1. A time is set by the timer to control the coldness and heat accumulation run. When the temperature of a heat medium on the side of a load falls in cooling the room, the compressor 1 is not switched off by the thermostat and a coolant circuit is shifted to accumulate coldness.
