Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a fan of high efficiency without the need of installing a driving motor by rotating the fan by induction coils, wherein all or a part of the vanes of the fan consists of a permanent magnet material to magnetize them.
CONSTITUTION: Each of plural revolving vanes 2 of a propellor or similarly shaped fan 1 is formed of permanent magnet material and is magnetized in the longitudinal direction such that adjacent ones of the vanes are oppositely magnetized. Fan 1 is, for example, fixed on an outer frame 4 thru a stay 3, and the nachanism is so devised that the fan is rotated by the induction coils 5 which are disposed on the inner circumference of the outer frame 4 along the vane 2 of fan 1. Formation of vane 2, instead of using a permanent magnet as the whole body, may be accomplished using a synthetic resin material with a plurality of cord shaped permanent magnets buried inside and arrayed in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the shape of the fan may be of Sirocco-type.
