Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a stable welding metal with higher strength and a limited magnetic permeability by adding a specified amount of Ni, Mo, V and N to a high Mn-high Cr steel system coated electrode welding material containing a specified amount of C. CONSTITUTION:A welding wire is made using a steel containing unavoidable impurities basically composed of 0.25to 1.0% C by weight, 10.0 to 25.0% Mn, 2.0 to 10.0% Cr and provided with more than one kinds of 0.15 to 3.0% Ni, 0.10 to 3.0% Mo, 0.10 to 1.50% V and 0.050 to 0.2% N. This wire ensures stabilization and higher tension of austenite with addition of Ni, Mo, V and N in a specified amount. In welding of a high Mn stable austenite non-magnetic steel, it is possible to obtain a stable coupling excellent in the flexural ductility.
