Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject molding pattern wherein first and second shell members each having a predetermined tapered surface along the peripheral direction are arranged in combination on the downward tapered surface of a core body having diameters greater towards upward, whereby the mold releasing operation is easily possible without providing pattern draft.

CONSTITUTION: A first shell member 2 and a second shell member 3 are arranged around the outer periphery of a core body 1 of a vertically long and square columnar shape in a molding pattern A, and are respectively connected at predetermined positions to the core body 1 by connecting devices. The side surfaces of the periphery of the core body 1 opposing respective shell members 2 and 3 are rendered into downward tapered surfaces 4 each projecting more outwardly toward the upper end thereof, and are contacted with the upward tapered surfaces 5 formed at the inner side surfaces of the shell members 2 and 3 and combined therewith, thus the core body 1 being pulled up upwardly without being restrained. On the above described tapered surfaces 4 there are formed dovetail grooves 9 having narrower groove widths from the lower parts toward the upper parts in the full lengths of the upper and lower parts of the center of said surfaces 4, and fitted in dovetail tenons 10 formed on the tapered surfaces 5 of the shell members 2 and 3. Further, the core body and the shell members are connected to each other by a connecting device consisting of a hooking member 14 and a latch member 15.
