Abstract

PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the working efficiency and maintenance of a vulcanization machine part by rotating a cleaning nozzle without removing metal molds in a hood arranged between an upper metal mold and lower one. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning apparatus is let to meve up to the front of a vulcanization machine. The vulcanization machine is divided vertically into an upper metal mold 4a and a lower one 4b, the cleaning apparatus is moved on the lower metal mold 4b and the upper metal mold 4a is let to fall so that the brush 11 of the nozzle can touch the upper mold 4a at the surface of its circular cavity 5a. In such a codition vacuum absorption, injection of air and glass beads are commenced. The nozzle 2 is let to make one rotation along the circular cavity 5a with the rotation of a handle 26. The beads and air flowed on from the nozzle 2a clean a tread, a shoulder, sidewalls and their corresponding parts. Then a horizontal axle 14 is rotated by 180 degrees and cleaning operation is carried out in the same way as previously corresponding the nozzle 2 with a concavity 5b.
