Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The rear group holding frame 6 and helicoid frame 5 holding a rear group lens L2 are held fitted in the stationary inner barrel part 1c and the front group holding frame 7 holding a front group lens L1 is held screwed into the helicoid frame 5. When the front group lens L1 advances and the rear group lens L2 retreats, the zoom lens system takes a short focal length and is in the state existing on the wide side. When the zoom ring 3 is pulled out forward in the optical axis direction, a cam ring 2 displaces in the optical axis direction, causing the rear group lens L2 to advance and the front group lens L1 to retreat. Then the zoom lens system takes a long focal length and is in the state of existing on the telephoto side. Since the pressure angle of the cam is not increased, the variable power operation may be stably and smoothly accomplished.
