Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a corner correcting waveform shaping circuit for the color picture tube which can vary the three colors of red R, green G and blue B independently and furthermore with each of the four corners.
CONSTITUTION: Both the vertical and horizontal parabola waves used for the vertical and horizontal convergence are applied to general-purpose modulator/demodulator 1, and thus the horizontal parabola wave is modulated by the vertical parabola wave to obain the waveform shown in the diagram via the clamp step. Then the waveforms are made through analog switches 3 and 4 which divide the clamped waveform into the 1st and 2nd parts of the horizontal parabola wave and furthermore through analog switches 5, 6, 7 and 8 which devide the two types of waveforms into the 1st and 2nd parts of the vertical parabola wave respectively in order to give correction to the four corners of the screen, i.e., the upper left and right ends plus the lower left and right ends each. And then the waveforms which passed through volumes 11, 12, 13 and 14 each plus the waveforms which did not are supplied to the output steps of R, G and B respectively for combination.
