Abstract

PURPOSE: Speeding up and high accuracy of a printer is planned by equipping a position detecting device operating by interlocking with a linear servomotor driving carriage and controlling by a servo-controll device controlling the motion of a linear servomotor as an information of speed and position.
CONSTITUTION: At a printer consisted of a printing head 1, a printing type selecting motor 2 and a linear servomotor 4 driving a carriage and others are equipped a position detecting device 9 of a servomotor comprising an immovable side 9A and a movable side 9B, a position detecting circuit 16, a speed detecting circuit 17, an adding circuit 14, a speed directing circuit 13 and a printing controlling circuit 12 and others, whereby speeding up, high accuracy and weight saving of a printer are achieved by controlling the motion of a linear serwomotor 4 as an information of speed and position, achieving the servo-controll of good responsibility and feed mechanism of the carrage without a complex transferring mechanism.
