Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the combustibility by allowing the intake ports on the down stream side of the throttle valve of a multichlinder engine to communicate with each other through a communication passage and a branched passage and opening the branched passage in the vicinity of the intake valve and introducing the mixed gas from other port through the branched passage.
CONSTITUTION: A throttle valve 22 is arranged in the vicinity of the intake port 5b of each intake passage 11 equipped with a carburetor 13, and each throttle valve of each cylinder is linked with through a common shaft. The throttle valve 22 is axially supported in the concaved part 25 in the lower part of the passage 11, and the resistance of flow passage in perfect opening of the throttle valve is reduced. Above the port 5b, a partition wall 36 is arranged, and from upper the partition wall 36, the mixed gas having the accelerated flow speed is introduced in low loading (throttle valve is at the position shown by solid line). Further, a branched passage 30b which communicates to a common communication passage 29 extending to the longitudinal direction of the engine is opened in tangential direction form in the vicinity of an intake valve 3b, and from this branched passage 30b, mixed gas from other intake port is gushed out in sprial form.
