Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the storage capacity of a storage unit, by providing a conveyed article inlet/outlet port at the bottom of the storage unit and by installing an anchorage unit so that it can be engaged and disengaged and by discharging conveyed articles in the same other as in their charging.
CONSTITUTION: The case storage unit coupled to a bread baker comprises a frame 1 and a case conveyor 3 located thereunder. Cases 2 conveyed in by the conveyor 3 are lifted together with the conveyor by cylinders 15, 16 so that the cases are stored into a guide frame 39 through a storage port of the storage unit. When the frame 39 is filled with the cases, the conveyor 3 is shifted and stored at an empty place. When a discharging instruction is applied, the cases 2 in the storage unit are supported by the conveyor 3 and a gap is made between each case 2 and a claw of a clamp arm so that the cases are unclamped.
