Abstract
PURPOSE: To readily and inexpensively produce a multiplicity of small cells by forming a plurality of liquid crystal cells to glass substrates, performing injection and sealing of liquid crystal material and affixing of polarizing plates then cutting and separating the assembly to individual liquid crystal display cells.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of electrode patterns are simultaneously formed on a common glass substrate for large upper glass, after which SiO vapor deposition, orientation treatment by rubbing, etc. are applied. Also, the similar processes are performed with the common glass for lower glass and the two sheets of the resultant upper and lower common glass substrates are bonded by way of sealing layers, thence liquid crystals are injected into the respective cells and the cells are sealed, whereby the panels are formed. Next, polarizing plates are affixed to a plurality of the cells, after which the polarizing plates and cells are simultaneously cut, whereby the individual liquid crystal display cells are formed.
