Abstract
PURPOSE:To use a standard oscillator and phase shifter for phase control among antennas by equipping each antenna with an oscillator and modulator separated. CONSTITUTION:Three antennas 5 are provided with transmitters consisting of oscillators 1, modulators 2 and filters 3 respectively. Each oscillator 1 is phase-synchronized by standard oscillator 9 and phase shifter 8 is used to correct a difference in phase to each transmitter. Modulators 2 are driven by common signal 10 and the output of oscillator 9 is distributed to each oscillator 1 via hybrid 7. Since the output of the whole transmission station is equal to the sum of respective oscillator outputs, sufficient radiaton power can be obtained, without a large-voltage amplifier, by increasing elements in number and a strip line, etc., can also be used because no large power posses through the connection part, so that the miniature and lightweight unit can be realized.
