Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce smoke fully with a small heat source in a high thermal efficiency, by using fins on a smoke-producing hot plate.
CONSTITUTION: The materials 12, e.g. fish or meat, are placed on the rack 10 of the smoking device 6, and the smoking substances 3 are put on the hot plate 4 which is heated by the heat source 2 to produce smoke. The central part of the plate 4 is heated to a high temperature, and the high-temperature air flows through the spacings 18 between the fins 5 to the outside, and the heat is absorbed by the plate 4 efficiently. A small heat source produces the sufficient smoke. The fins 5 higher to the periphery provide almost uniform heat distribution on the whole hot plate surface.
