Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the geneartion of rar, carbon, odor from pot-type petroleum stove by a kerosene vaporization catalyst consisting of an inorganic paper into which an alkali or alkaline earth metal catalyst and an inorganic binder are impregnated.
CONSTITUTION: A tar-suppressing catalyst composed of an alkali such as potassium carbonate or the oxide, hydroxide, or carbonate of an alkaline earth metal and an inorganic binder such as an alkali metal silicate aqueous solution, alumina sol, etc., are impregnated into an inorganic paper of seramic, glass, etc., as a catalyst base to obtain a kerosene vaporization catalyst for a pot-type petroleum stove. The kerosene vaporization catalyst, having high heat resistance, high oil resistance, and high tar- suppressing effect, prevents the adhesion of tar to the evaporizing portion and thus prevents the generation of carbon, carbon monoxide, and odor due to imperfect combustion.
