During this process, a printing head 5 is driven to transfer ribbon ink to the paper 7 to be fed between the platen 6. A luminous element 8a and photo receiving element 8b sense the seam of ribbon and send out signals to stop the printing head 5 to print for a time that the said seam moves away.
