Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a uniform plating thickness in length and width direction, by providing with the plating thickness measuring instrument on the upper part of gas jetting part equipped plural pieces in parallel in width direction of steel band and operating measured result of scanned thickness by the movement in steel band width direction of measuring instrument at every domain to be jetted on the steel belt and then, controlling the original pressure of jetting gas. CONSTITUTION:The X-rays source G1 of plating thickness measuring instrument GTM and the X-rays detecting part G2, are provided facing against both sides of steel belt STR and are moved going and returning in width direction of the steel belt maintaining the facing condition and then, plating thickness is measured by scanning in the width direction repeatedly. X-rays information caught by the part G2, is transmitted to the measuring instrument main body G3 and the result is outputted to the operator OPR after converting to the thickness information here. Mean value of plating thickness extending over the whole width at every each domain to be jetted, is operated by the operator on the basis of sampling result. Scanning control of GTM is carried out by the control part CTR and also, original pressure corresponding each gas jetting nozzles N11.N12---- N2n, is controlled on the basis of plating thickness information of each domain to be jetted from the operator.
