Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the shade completely on the copying paper, when copying an original having undulated surface, by radiating the original plane from two directions of aperture of exposure lamp and reflector, and increasing the quantity of light reaching the photoreceptor than in the case of copying an ordinary original.
CONSTITUTION: An exposure lamp 3 and a reflector 4 are provided in a manner freely slidable reciprocally on the lower side of a platen 2, and the reflected light from the plane of an original 15 on the platen 2 id radiated to a photoreceptor 9 by way of mirror 5, lens 6, mirror 7 and slit 8. The reflector 4 radiates the light from the exposure lamp 3 to the platen 2 from the direction opposite to the radiation direction by the exposure lamp 3. When copying by placing the original 15 having undulated surface such as overlayed original on the platen 2, the opening of the slit 8 is widened. As a result, the quantity of light from the exposure lamp 3 reflected from the original plane to be radiated on and reach the photoreceptor 9 is increased, so that the edge part of the opposite side of the radiating direction in the stepped part due to undulation of the original plane may be sufficiently bright and radiated on the photoreceptor 9. Thus, the shade on the copying paper 14 may be completely eliminated.
