Abstract

PURPOSE: To devise to engage and assemble inserted gear parts with previously- fixed gears automatically by a simple and efficient structure especially in the automatic assembly of small gear sets and other processes.

CONSTITUTION: For example, when a gear part 12 is inserted into an axle hole 10a on a bottom plate 10 and engaged with a gear 11 already inserted into another axle hole, the gear part 12 is fixed to a holding unit 13 with an axis guide 13a to hold the axis position 12a by an absorbing unit 14 with air-absorbing holes. The lower axle 12b is inserted a little into the axle hole 10a on the bottom plate 10, and when the underside of the tooth part 12c is brought to a fixed position near the upper side of the tooth part 11c of the gear 11, the fixing of the holding unit 13 is released. Then, as the holding unit 13 is kept at the released position, air is jetted out from nozzles 15 provided on the holding unit 13 along the circumference of the gear part 12 for turning, and when the tooth part 12c is engaged with the tooth part 11c, the gear part 12 is dropped by the weight of itself.
